Cabbage and Kielbasa

To begin, I’d like to apologize for the lack of posts this past week. I have been working on making a video series to accompany this blog so that people who learn better visually can also make these recipes and crafts. The videos will be posted to a YouTube channel, and it will also include some fun content that you won’t see here (oh snap!)

Vice versa, this blog will continue to have some content that won’t make it into the videos. I am hoping that this will keep everything feeling fresh on both platforms.

But until then, back to food:

Even though I cook a lot (and I do mean a lot), having recipes that are quick and simple makes dinner much easier at the end of a long day. Not every meal can be gourmet, but that it doesn’t mean it can’t be good. It also doesn’t have to mean that the meal will be unhealthy.

So here is my recipe for an insanely simple dinner that will give you at least one whole serving of vegetables and will fill you up for the night.

Serves 1


1/2 Head of Cabbage, Small

7 Oz. Kielbasa Sausage

1 tbsp Minced Garlic

Salt and Pepper, To Taste



First, slice cabbage according to preference (thin slices are easier to eat with a fork and tend to be less cumbersome). Slice the kielbasa and set aside.

Then, add 2 tablespoons of water and the minced garlic to the pan. Add the cabbage and stir around until garlic is mixed in. Cover and let steam on medium heat until cabbage is soft.

Lastly, add the kielbasa and stir in until it is hot. Top with some salt and pepper, and enjoy!


This really is one of the easiest meals to make, and on nights when I slog into the house, tired and starving at 8pm, it’s the perfect thing to keep me from reaching for those processed foods.
